Ok. Im posting this as a thread after we get our Tree Mail, We can discuss what we think the challenge will be.
Ill start with what our first Treemail said in the Immunity Challenge 1 Thread.
It mentioned a Tribes name that will Stick and it will be judged. So we need a good tribe name that I guess our Host and the invisible Host will like.
Got any ideas?

yeah, looks like we'll need to pick a good tribe name and probably a tribe color, and all that good stuff.
i'm thinking something with cambodian history in mind, maybe something relevant to our location? i can look up the name of the lake he said we were at...
other ideas, names of actual tribes (not too creative :-p), names of animals, cultural events... i guess just everyone look up random information and we can start compiling a list of what we find for the mean time

I was thinking the same thing. The first challenge will probably be thinking of a name. I dont know if we are supposed to start talking about it yet though. The challenge doesnt start until January 3rd. But I think it would be a good idea to do some research on Cambodian history for ideas

I don't think it hurts to discuss it. I mean although the challenge hasn't started, tree mail has been sent...so we can't help but to think about it, I guess.
When it comes to names we have to have a new spin. Thinking back to old seasons they used different animals, tribes and meaningful words...
I think we can go deeper. I'm thinking more something like a philosophical or spiritual belief that they have in Cambodia.
I'm also thinking something in connection with Angkor Wat. I'll look into that. This is going to be fun guys!

If we need to create a tribe flag as well, I'd love to help out with that. But think of all the tribe names in Survivor History. Some, like Samburu and Boran, were named after the local people, and others, like Koror, were named after local places (in that case, the capital of Palau). Cambodia is a country with a rich history dating back thousands of years. I personally like a lot what Von said. Angkor Wat is very important in Cambodian history. I love geography a lot, and I will do the best I can to research the geography and history of Cambodia so we can win this challenge and keep our tribe intact! ;D

I agree with Von.. I think a spiritual name would be cool.. we could have it be manly maybe since we are all men.. I like Kyle's ideas too. We realy need to research the background of where we are.. Thanks for looking up the lake.. mate? I don't know if I told everyone but I'm on vacation in Mexico with very limited internet access until the second.. when i get home.. so I will try to be around as much as I can when my internet chip is around otherwise on the second for sure I'll be home.. I feel bad that I won't get to talk with a bunch of you until then.. but Mexico is amazing if anyone cared lol... Someone please save a spot for me in their sleeping bag.. im sure Ill be cold when I get into camp on Tues... kenyon! rock out boys!

Khmer Loeu was a name of one of the Cambodian tribes. It isnt very creative, but it is something for now haha. I will keep researching. Would be nice if I could find a English-Cambodian translator

I found a site that shows you different words of the Khmer Language. It shows how the words are spelled in the non-symbol forms. Not a big selection but I will keep searching. www.camlefa.org/Transliterations.htmlWe could have something like "pram-bey preah-kakrunas" which means "8 kings" but it is kind of a long name, so maybe we would be able to shorten it to like "Bey-Kakrunas" or something. That is just an example though. Hopefully it gets us thinking

maybe even shorten it to Beyrunas.... but then it isnt even a real word anymore . It still might work though. At least it is kinda creative right?

can anyone say Olmec from legends of the hidden temple? haha - i found it on an ancient cambodia site. another thing that i think would be REALLY important is incorporating the lotus. its one of the more prominent symbols in cambodian/buddhist culture. "Cambodia is a tropical land of densely forested hills, emerald-green rice paddies with tall, elegant sugar palms and waterways filled with reeds, waterlilies and lotuses. The beautiful lotus, with fragrant pink and white blossoms which bloom mornings and evenings, is sacred to Buddhism and is used for vitive offerings in temples. " maybe even if we put it on a tribe flag if we need to make one. and after a million years, i found that its khmer translation is "Phka chhouk" source= ftp.fao.org/fi/CDrom/AwarnessAgrBiodiv/plants/plantsA.pdf
